   It is Christmas day today, which is the worst I have experienced.

 

   It could be proved to be a very bad idea to go to the banquet held by mobile company, on which I was shocked by the behaviors of Chinese, which became the hell to me, in the term of culture. The thing is quiet simple, Mr. Mimico and me tried to find some fun on the Christmas Eve just as most of the youth in our age. But in a boring city like Chongqing, there is no place to go at all, except a performance delivered by foreign theater group which is too much expensive for us to afford. So the only choice was left to go to the un-happy banquet.

 

  

Two things really hit me after I saw Ai Weiwei being present on the talk show program Dialog of the CCTV9, the only English channel in china as suggested by themselves, firstly, there is not any radical words listened which is extremely opposite with his expression style on his blog, secondly, after almost 12 years’ living in USA, his speaking English is relatively in-skillful.

 

   

Chinese Foreign Ministry recently described French President Sarkozy’s meeting with the Dalai Lama as an act that would “gravely hurt the feelings of the Chinese people”.

It is the kind of phrase you are looking for in every Chinese official indignation - ok, feelings hurt, this isn’t something good. However, this is the first time I actually didn’t let it just pass, and asked myself: what does this phrase actually mean? Sure some countries have hurt our feelings, so what? You expect an apology or something else from the other side to compensate your “hurt feelings”?

Driven purely by my own interest, I’ve spent few hours to find out how many countries that have hurt the “Feelings of Chinese People” since the founding of the PRC. Here’s the map of all the “culprits” (you probably have already seen it somewhere else).
